It’s a fact: heavy red wines need lots of oxygen after they have been opened and ideally should be poured into a decanter to allow their diverse aromas and complexity to fully develop. The older the wine, the more this rule applies. However, the handblown WMF decanter made of high-quality glass is also ideal for serving lighter red wines as well as white wines such as Chardonnay and Riesling. And it can also be used for water. After all, it cuts such a fine figure on the table that it is a shame not to use it every day.
